Scaling & idle

How apps use resources, scale-to-zero on the Free plan, and staying warm on paid plans.

OneBit Deploy runs your app within the resources of your plan. How idle apps behave depends on whether you're on the Free plan or a paid plan.

Scale-to-zero (Free plan)

On the Free plan, apps scale to zero when they are idle: after a period with no traffic the app sleeps to save resources, and wakes automatically on the next request. The first request after sleeping may be a little slower while the app starts.

This keeps the Free plan genuinely free to run while still serving real traffic.

Staying warm (paid plans)

On Hobby and Enterprise, apps stay warm — they don't sleep on idle — so every request is served without a cold start.

Resource limits

Each plan has memory, CPU and storage limits. If your app needs more headroom, upgrade to a higher plan.

See Plans & quotas for the exact limits, and Metrics to see how close you are to them.
