WordPress (Beta)
Stand up a WordPress site on OneBit Deploy with a managed database behind it.
WordPress on OneBit Deploy is in Beta. The flow and options may change, and it is best suited to new sites and experiments while it stabilises.
OneBit Deploy can host WordPress for you, backed by a managed database, so you can run a WordPress site without managing servers.
Create a WordPress site
From the dashboard, choose New → WordPress and follow the wizard.
Database modes
When creating a WordPress site you choose how its database is handled:
- New database — OneBit provisions a fresh managed database for the site.
- Existing database — reuse a managed database you already created on OneBit.
- External database — point WordPress at a database hosted elsewhere by supplying its connection details.
After setup
Once the site is created, OneBit gives you the URL to complete the WordPress install
and log in to wp-admin. You can add a custom domain
and it will get automatic SSL like any other app.
There are no automated managed backups yet. For a WordPress site you care about, use a backup plugin or export your database regularly.
